EQUALS NICE!

I'm still on the fence regarding social bookmarking. I have both Diigo and Delicious accounts and I've switched back and forth between the two of them over the last couple of years.

I also use Google Reader quite extensively and one of the cool new(er) features of Google Reader is the ability to send posts to different social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, Posterous, Delicious and many others. But wouldn't it be nice to be able to send a post to Diigo as well?

Through a Google Search I found a tip on how to add Diigo to your list of Google Reader Send to Items. It's a pretty simple thing to do. Check it out and soon you'll see this:

and then this:

This will be a nice addition to my Send To list and will make it that much more difficult for me to decide which social bookmarking site I eventually stick to as a primary source of links. This does make me think more about how I should save the resources I run across on a daily basis. Currently I have many blog posts tagged to maintain some sort of organization in Google Reader. I also have many links littered about in Delicious and Diigo. Somehow I need to manage them all into one central place for easier retrieval in the future. By being able to send blog posts in Google Reader to both Diigo and Delicious, perhaps I should just move away from the tagging system in Google Reader and just start sending all my save-worthy blog posts to a social bookmark site, thereby maintaining one less tagging system.

How do you manage all your blog posts and bookmarks?

Christmas Lesson Plans

Here is a great site with more than 80 Christmas themed lesson plans organized by all subject areas including Art, Music, and PE. If you find something and would like some help to “tech it up,” let me know. There are some very easy ways to publish student work on the web, whether it’s recording spoken word, photo galleries, digital stories, etc. I’m happy to help with that.
